Share Your Wisdom . . . And Find Some, Too
Welcome to the site where you can share your wisdom worldwide and find a world of wisdom for yourself. The wisdom comes from people like you, whose posts give either:
- an Inside View of what it’s like to be a boss, an employee, or
- an Outside View of what people think when they see bosses and employees in action.
You can visit the OIC Forum to post, to comment on a post, or just to read about a role you play and compare the Inside and Outside Views. Every time you visit or post, you expand the wisdom.
Posting from the Inside View
Find one of the roles you play in the menu and write about it from the Inside View.
Maybe you are a boss—you could tell why bosses are important or why the world needs bosses like you. You might describe what you and other bosses appreciate, what drives you crazy, what you think makes for good and bad relationships with employees, or share any other “boss wisdom” you may have. Your wisdom will help other bosses and employees, and it is sure to expand their viewpoints.

But wait a minute. If you’re a boss, you might want to check out posts for Bosses in the Outside View. That’s where anyone and everyone can give their views of “boss behavior.” You’ll find what other people like when they see bosses in action, and what they don’t. Maybe you’ll see yourself in some of these posts and expand your viewpoint, too.
Posting from the Outside View
If you don’t want to share wisdom about a role you play, think about how other people in your daily life behave, what you especially appreciate about their behavior and what could be better. Then add a post in the Outside View to tell what you like or don’t like and why. Choose
for your post if you are writing mostly about something positive that you see. Choose
if you are writing mostly about behavior that’s not-so-good. If you want to write about both, post twice.

Posts from both the Inside View and Outside View can also choose to attach a picture and/or share a link to a web page or video. Add a picture to your post by clicking the Choose File button and the navigating to the desired image on your computer. Add a link to a web page or video by pasting or typing the full web address (URL) into the input window.
Taking in the Views
Visiting the OIC Forum can be insightful even if you don’t post. If you are a boss or employee, you can still come to the OIC Forum, select that role, and see what other people have to say from both the Inside and Outside Views. In fact, you can select comments from the Inside View and the Outside View, click Collect & Compare, and see a selection of posts that you want to consider or share. There’s even more wisdom to be found when you compare.
Voting and Commenting on a Post
When you read a post, you can vote on it. Choose OIC it! if you think the post makes good sense. If you don’t agree with the post, choose I don’t C it! You can click Comment to see comments that others have made on the post or to add a comment of your own. Votes and Comments accumulate from everyone who visits the site.

Posts display with the newest post first, but you can sort the posts to see the ones with the most votes first. For the Outside View, you can also sort to see either the positive posts
or the negative posts
first.
